Prior to this event walking in downtown Vancouver, I accidentally stepped in a human s*** and had crack smoke blown in my face. After the authentic Vancouver experience, I wanted to channel my energy towards the upcoming concert.
With concerts finally returning, we had to start our event coverage @ Cosmos out with a bang. My last concert was the virtual 100 Gecs 'Live @ Square Garden' Minecraft show where I took an edible and jammed out to Charlie XCX, Tommy Cash, and 100 Gecs (IRL merch was secured).
This was one of the rare events we were not accredited to shoot - though I couldn't stop myself filming some footage. I decided to channel my inner Cole Bennett and shoot some iPhone footy from the crowd in a VHS style edit.
The edit did great on socials, and playthatboizay (the opener) reposted our edit multiple times to his IG. ‘Zay’ delivered a great high-energy set and is one of the best openers I've seen in a while.
I had high hopes for what Denzel would bring given how highly critics and audiences have acclaimed his work in the past few years. Denzel did not disappoint - firing on all cylinders throughout his set. He had a amazing set playing all of his hits & the audience experience for 'Clout Cobain was immaculate.
One of the highlights of the show was an audience member who took off his shirt and threw his mixtape on stage in the hopes of a co-sign. I am still waiting for Denzel to feature him on his next project...
Make sure you attend once this tour hits your city.
Thanks to PLAYTHATBOIZAY for the IG Repost!
